About the EPAP Group

The Experimental Particle & Astroparticle Physics (EPAP) group is a vibrant, international research team investigating fundamental questions about matter by studying particles. Our work involves designing and conducting experiments to probe the properties of fundamental particles in innovative ways.

Members participate in experiments related to neutrino and dark matter research, including T2K, Super-Kamiokande, Hyper-Kamiokande, SNO+, IceCube, and LZ, which are either collecting data or under construction. We also plan to join experiments like XLZD and LEGEND.

More information about the group can be found at https://www.kcl.ac.uk/research/experimental-particle-astroparticle-physics and https://epap.nms.kcl.ac.uk/.

Application Process

We encourage applicants with project ideas that expand and complement our current research, including areas such as gravitational waves.

Our group values diversity and particularly welcomes applications from female and minority ethnic candidates and other underrepresented groups in physics.

Interested candidates should send a brief research proposal and CV (each no longer than 2 pages), aligned with the assessment criteria of the relevant fellowship calls, to EPAP_Applications@kcl.ac.uk by June 16.

For more details about the group, contact Prof. Francesca Di Lodovico. Please carefully review the eligibility criteria for the fellowship calls.

We aim to decide on candidates supportable by the end of June 2024.
