Job description

The Role

Joining a new and fast-growing division of Canopius, helping build a market-leading Portfolio Solutions offering globally. The role will include highly technical portfolio analysis and underwriter (and some client) engagement. Building and maintaining new, innovative portfolio products within profitable guidelines and regulations, facilitating underwriting activities and programmes that are of high standard and compliant to Canopius’ governance. Key to the role will be to drive the data strategy and intelligence gathering from CPS and disseminate this into the wider Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Portfolio Analytics across the division
  • Drive insights into CPS business and develops high-quality, regular reporting and monitoring of all contracts
  • Monitors loss ratios and profitability of portfolios, regularly monitors actual and expected pricing experience, works with stakeholders to build and deliver key performance indicator reports.
  • Assessment of underwriting guidelines, monthly monitoring of contracts and dissemination of information and intelligence to the wider open market underwriting teams.
  • Acts as a technical expert internally, representing the division in all internal matters.
  • Seeks new opportunities and explores collaboration internally with innovative insights.
  • Ensures all work conducted in line with company policies and with high-quality documentation.
  • Plans and organises own work, maintaining a high-level of communication within the team.
  • Fosters a positive culture in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Qualified Actuary with a commercial focus and pricing exposure
