Selby Jennings have partnered with a highly-specialised and rapidly growing insurance organisation, currently seeking to add Senior Portfolio Management Analyst to join its dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to shape portfolio strategy, drive performance. You'll work closely with underwriting, actuarial, and operations teams to embed data-driven insights and support long-term planning.

About the role

• Develop and maintain portfolio management dashboards and tools in Power BI
• Analyse underwriting performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis
• Collaborate across teams to optimise portfolio returns and manage risk
• Monitor catastrophe exposure and ensure alignment with risk appetite
• Deliver insights and reporting to senior leadership and capital providers
• Champion data quality and foster a data-driven culture

Role Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in portfolio management, pricing, underwriting, or analytical roles in re/insurance
• Strong skills in Excel and Power BI (Tableau/Qliksense also valued)
• Programming experience in Python, R, or SQL is a plus
• Familiarity with the London insurance market and key drivers of underwriting profit
• Degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, data science, or related field
