Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to support the Lead Portfolio Manager in analysing the portfolio and net pricing, recommending changes and assisting with deployment.

Based in London with remote options, the role involves developing tools, managing pricing models, delivering data-driven reviews, and applying advanced analytics to pricing and portfolio management for personal lines and home insurance.

Qualifications

• 3 years personal lines insurance pricing/actuarial experience
• Strong understanding of Home Insurance market and associated risks/opportunities
• Experience in pricing and portfolio management data interpretation

The Portfolio Analyst will report to the Lead Portfolio Manager and will support in analysing their portfolio and their net pricing, recommending changes and then supporting the deployment of those changes

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Development of new and existing tools to ensure appropriate oversight and management of the portfolio & underwriting performance
• Pro-active model management and adequacy of portfolio pricing layers
• Provide timely, data-driven pricing & underwriting reviews, to assess the adequacy of rating and underwriting rules for new & emerging trends
• Introduce innovative approaches to pricing & portfolio management, leveraging automation and advanced analytics to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Hands on experience handling and interpreting data relating to Pricing & Portfolio Management
• A minimum of 3 years personal lines insurance pricing/actuarial experience
• You have strong understanding of Home Insurance market. Not only just in pricing but also supported by a good understanding of Home Insurance products and emerging risks/opportunities of them
