Convex Insurance Ltd. in London is seeking a Senior Portfolio Actuary to partner with underwriting and analytics to architect long‑term portfolio design and manage pricing risks across a diverse, multi‑geography product suite in London and the US.

You will lead pricing model specification, integrate with actuarial and underwriting functions, and provide strategic commercial advisory to balance growth with portfolio strategy, driving data‑driven decisions and robust business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience across long-tail or casualty insurance lines in the London market.

Responsibilities

• Long term portfolio design: partner with underwriters on the strategic design and management of net portfolios across long-tail, casualty, and financial lines to ensure long-term, sustainable growth.
• Model design and integration: lead the specification and parameterisation of pricing models in close partnership with the broader Actuarial and Underwriting functions.
• Integrated commercial advisory: act as a dedicated partner to evaluate new lines of business, balancing growth with overarching portfolio strategy.
• Strategic business partnering: leverage your deep product expertise to shape underwriting priorities, co-owning business outcomes and driving commercial success.
• Analytics leadership: champion the evolution of our market-leading tooling, increasing business transparency and confidence in data-driven decisions.
