Job summary

GP Solution is seeking a Senior Agency Operator (Port Agent) to join our shipping operations team in the United Kingdom. Based in Kent, the role is hybrid, covering Dartford or Sheerness and ports across the South East UK.

You will coordinate port appointments, vessel calls, and bookings for pilots, towage and lines; manage vendors; liaise with port authorities and terminal operators; prepare PDAs and pre-arrival documents; and handle customs clearances.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of port operations and shipping/port agency preferred.
• Strong office software skills and customer-facing shipping experience.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate port appointments and vessel port calls.
• Manage vendors and suppliers and liaise with port authorities.
• Work with terminal service providers and prepare PDAs.
• Manage pre-arrival documentation and bookings for pilots, towage, lines.
• Arrange vessel surveys and inspections and handle customs clearances.
• Board vessels on arrival or departure as needed.
