Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Planner to join the Local Development Plan Team.
The council is a leader in Scotland's new development planning system, offering an excellent opportunity to be involved at the forefront of this innovative process within a large, prosperous, rural authority.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating actions to deliver a new Local Development Plan in 2028/29.

You will also mentor team members, supporting their professional growth and fostering teamwork for the benefit of Aberdeenshire Council.
The role involves supporting developers and communities through the Local Development Plan process.
We seek a multiskilled, adaptable individual with a solid grounding in planning to address complex issues during this period of change, working cooperatively with stakeholders including Councillors and providing expert advice on National Planning Framework 4 and the 2023 Local Development Plan.
