Job summary

Ipsos in the UK is seeking a Senior Consultant – Strategy & Advisory (Public Policy) to shape UK public policy through evidence-led strategy and policy development. You will work with government and public sector clients, bringing together research, data and stakeholder perspectives to craft credible options and drive impact.

Qualifications

• Experience of analysing, developing or advising on UK public policy.
• Strong analytical skills with evidence-based approach.
• Ability to structure complex policy problems and propose options.
• Sound policy judgement and creative thinking for decision-making.
• Professional experience working with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience managing work or leading a project/workstream.
• Curiosity, adaptability and cross-disciplinary interest.
• Commercial agency or consultancy background.
• Experience in economic and technology policy (AI, skills, labour markets); and public services or culture/digital policies.

Responsibilities

• Structure complex policy and strategy questions and define needed analysis.
• Review and synthesize evidence from diverse sources.
• Plan and conduct stakeholder engagement and qualitative research.
• Develop theories of change, analytical frameworks and future scenarios.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable client advice.
• Lead workstreams and nurture client relationships; collaborate with Ipsos and partners.
• Contribute to proposals and help win new work.
