About this role
Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), sitting within the Victorian Government. LCV provides staff, operational and administrative support for the Victorian Liquor Commission (the Commission) and performs various regulatory functions on behalf of the Commission industry under delegation.
The Policy and Regulatory Strategy Team supports the implementation of Victorian Government policy and provides the Commission with evidence-based policy advice.

About the Role
The Senior Policy and Regulatory Strategy Officer contributes to developing policy and evolving the organisation's regulatory practice by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including co-regulators, government, and the community. The position also maintains effective environmental scanning, provides robust analysis of external drivers and emerging issues, and provides advice on options to enhance how we regulate the liquor industry, including providing input into reviewing and developing legislation and other regulatory proposals.
