Job summary

Saab UK in Fareham is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Positioning, Navigation and Timing and Distributed Sensing to lead architecture, design and integration of PNT solutions across radar and sensor networks.

You will mentor engineers, drive V&V planning, and collaborate with RF, software and mechanical teams to deliver high-assurance timing and sensing capabilities for national security applications.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a related field.
• 5–10 years of radar, communications, or electronic warfare experience.
• 7+ years in systems engineering focusing on PNT or distributed sensor systems.
• Proven GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS) and inertial navigation experience.
• Experience with GNSS-denied operations and PNT resilience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of ISO 15288:2023.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of PNT solutions and distributed sensing networks.
• Define system-level requirements and performance specs.
• Develop verification and validation plans with HIL/SIL testing.
• Mentor engineers and present roadmaps to leadership.
