Senior PM/Contracts Manager - Civils & Water - United Utilities framework

SSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor who requires a Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join their team for the upcoming AMP8 United Utilities framework. The projects include schemes such as clean & wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, tunnelling, shafts, deep drainage, pipelines, and other related schemes.

This role involves working closely with directors to establish effective processes and procedures for delivering water and wastewater schemes across various environments. The successful candidate will manage a team of project managers, site managers, supervisors, engineers, operatives, and subcontractors.

They are seeking someone with extensive experience in the civil engineering or utilities sector, capable of contributing to business development, tendering, health & safety, client liaison, recruitment, and other areas.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the delivery of projects within specified time and budget constraints.
  2. Ensure all health, safety, and welfare obligations are met during project delivery.
  3. Identify necessary resources and assign responsibilities accordingly.
  4. Create and execute project work plans, adjusting as needed to meet changing requirements.
  5. Maintain and manage relationships with clients and all project stakeholders.
  6. Apply company methodologies effectively and enforce project standards.
  7. Minimize company exposure to risk on projects.
  8. Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience managing civil engineering and/or utilities projects.
  • HNC/HND/BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, or equivalent industry experience.
