Job summary

Tessl, the AI-native development startup in London, seeks a senior, hands-on Product Staff member to own ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end and help define how product is practised as the team grows.

This generalist role spans the CLI, core platform, and future bets, with a focus on turning AI breakthroughs into practical developer experiences and building a high-quality product process. You’ll influence across engineering, research, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong instincts for what to build and why, with business judgment.
• Experience building for technically sophisticated users—developers, engineers, or data professionals.
• Comfortable shaping direction where there’s no settled product, market, or process.
• Excellent communicator who can align engineers, designers, researchers and leaders.
• Experience with developer tools, AI/ML apps, or productivity infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own product areas end to end from discovery to iteration.
• Develop deep product sense for developer workflows by spending time with developers and engineers.
• Translate model capabilities and breakthroughs into reliable developer experiences.
• Shape roadmap and strategy; contribute to strategic conversations.
• Lead through influence across engineering, design, research, GTM and leadership.
• Maintain high quality bar and developer trust while moving fast.
• Define AI-native product processes and tooling.
