Job summary

Intellias seeks an experienced infrastructure/platform engineer to own our internal infrastructure platform and drive scalable improvements. You will automate operations, implement observability, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable systems.

The role focuses on on-prem and cloud-enabled infrastructure, with strong emphasis on Python, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes, and mature CI/CD practices. London office-based role with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with focus on infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Strong Python with testing, typing, packaging, and Bash scripting.
• Solid Linux fundamentals; on-prem infrastructure incl networking, storage, virtualization.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge; workload scheduling and runtime access.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Platform security: secrets management, IAM, network isolation.
• Troubleshooting and cross-team collaboration.
• English B2+; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Automate manual infrastructure operations and build self-service workflows.

Salary: £46,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Strong production-level Python, including testing, typing, packaging, and dependency management; Bash for scripting.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and understanding of on-prem infrastructure, including networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, including workload scheduling, configuration, and runtime resource access.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Good understanding of platform security: secrets management, IAM, network isolation, and dependency/supply-chain risks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience diagnosing complex distributed system issues.
• Good communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• English B2+.
