Job summary

An innovative Ed-Tech company in the UK is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to enhance cloud infrastructure and improve system performance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and maintaining high-traffic distributed systems, strong Python skills, and experience with AWS. This role involves collaboration with various teams to deliver technical solutions and contribute to an inclusive work culture valued at Preply.

Qualifications

• Strong coding experience in one or more programming languages, preferably Python.
• Willingness to participate on paid on-call rotations.
• Business-orientation and data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Own the availability and performance of mission-critical services.
• Build tooling to improve our platform and accelerate software development.
• Collaborate with product teams to tackle technical issues.

Skills

Expertise in designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting high traffic distributed systems

Proficient software engineering skills in Python

Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS

Experience in implementing observability and alerting

Strong communication skills, minimum B2 English level
