Job summary

Macquarie Group in London seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Platform Engineering. You will combine hands-on coding with system design to evolve our cloud-native analytics and rapid delivery platform, collaborating with quantitative teams to enable safe, rapid production technology.

You will turn complex tech into reusable services and APIs, push for scalable, resilient architectures, and embed AI-driven capabilities to boost developer productivity and unlock new insights.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building production software with Python/Java/Scala.
• Experience in distributed systems with emphasis on scalability and resilience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container tech (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Linux networking, and build tooling (Bazel).
• Exposure to analytics/workflow tech like Airflow/Dask/JupyterHub is helpful.
• Interest in applying AI to software engineering and familiarity with LLMs.
