A leading Google Cloud consultancy in Edinburgh is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and implement scalable cloud solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of Google Cloud services and infrastructure automation tools. Candidates should possess strong coding skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Qualifications

Excellent understanding of Google Cloud Platform architecture and services, including Compute Engine and Kubernetes Engine.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible and containerisation tools such as Docker.
Ability to code using Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a cloud environment and/or on linux distribution systems.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.
Manage and automate the deployment of cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes.
Implement and maintain security controls to ensure data integrity.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance issues and troubleshoot as needed.
