Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead design of major components of a modern digital service platform, covering automation, build, deployment and live support. You’ll work within a fast-paced, collaborative team and drive high-quality software delivery.

You will apply your experience across DevOps, cloud (AWS), scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and container orchestration to ensure secure, scalable services. The role emphasizes mentoring and continuous improvement.

• Experience designing, building, testing, automating and supporting significant components within a modern digital service platform in production environments.
• Ability to produce scalable, resilient, efficient, secure and cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of significant components of a modern digital service platform, including automation, build, deployment and support.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, consulting, product management and security teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Promote DevOps culture and ensure services are scalable, secure, reliable and performant.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to architectural decisions.
