Job summary

RTX in Gloucester is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to deploy and manage applications across cloud and on-prem environments. You will partner with multiple business areas to design scalable, secure infrastructure, automate release processes, and uphold mature DevOps practices in a hybrid, on-site role.

The role requires experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), IaC tools, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration and security-minded engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps model.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and IaC tools.
• Experience building/maintaining large-scale apps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure applications in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensure systems are secure against cyber threats.
• Identify and implement software updates and fixes.
• Coordinate with engineers to enforce processes.
