Job summary

Pigment is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to design and implement the infrastructure for a real-time, data-intensive SaaS platform. You will scale, secure, and observe the Pigment stack across GKE, Terraform, and cloud services, collaborating with an SRE team to keep the platform highly available and performant.

You should be fluent in English, hands-on with coding, and comfortable tackling complex performance challenges while enabling rapid growth as Pigment expands globally.

Qualifications

• Hands-on coding is a must for this role.
• Experience with a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes a plus).
• Experience with a public cloud provider; GCP is a plus.
• Proven experience in software development with multiple languages (C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Jaeger).
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define and build scalable infrastructure to answer performance challenges.
• Ensure high availability and redundancy of Pigment platform.
• Monitor platform performance and observability across the team.
• Participate in incident response.
• Support geographic expansion and overseas clients.
• Collaborate with security on infrastructure and pipelines.
• Drive automation and improve development pipelines.
