Job description

The Platform Engineering team manages the platform layer in our global cloud environments that serve data and analytics use cases and application development across Mars.

The Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for introducing new technologies and automating services. They will play a key role in designing, implementing, and deploying new solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers, supporting our digital strategies.

What are we looking for?

• University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or software development
• Experience building and deploying cloud services, preferably in Azure
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages with hands-on technical experience
• Experience with open-source frameworks and enterprise applications
• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to team building
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Manage projects and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and technical standards
• Guide the technical direction of projects, including microservices architectures and global platform deployments
• Design and develop tools for scalable, efficient data and analytics solutions
• Communicate technical strategies with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Become a subject matter expert in new platform technologies
• Utilize product management frameworks to define business requirements
