This role is within our enterprise platform engineering team, focusing on secure, reliable, and efficient practices across business and IT. You will be involved in building and refining cloud automation patterns and automating manual processes, working with the latest tools and technologies, and contributing to a growing, highly skilled engineering organization.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about AI, interested in exploring AI's possibilities, as Elanco has recently established AI capabilities and is seeking engineers with an interest in this area.

Successful candidates will be highly motivated, innovative, and able to articulate complex technical topics, collaborate effectively with partners, and ensure quality delivery. Your responsibilities include:

• Working with Principal Platform Engineer to shape platform and automation strategies.
• Collaborating on engineering initiatives to enhance security, reliability, and efficiency.
• Identifying improvements in our ecosystem to benefit application and developer experiences.
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering team growth.
• Building and maintaining automation solutions, supporting CI/CD practices, and supporting application teams.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Experience in delivering software products and programming in languages like Typescript and Python.
• Interest in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Operational experience with product support and iteration.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, TDD, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence across teams.

Preferred qualifications include experience with AI frameworks, cloud platforms, and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
