When you'll be in the office depends on your role, but you can expect to work from our London office between 8-12 days per month.
To support this, the successful applicant should be within a reasonably commutable distance to our office (Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8HB).
Join the EVolution:
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing Platform team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that underpins our products. You’ll work closely with engineers across the organisation to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient. This is an exciting opportunity to drive automation and improve developer experience.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Designing and maintaining reliable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
- Using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) to manage cloud resources and deployments.
- Building and evolving CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery and reduce manual toil.
- Implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows following SRE principles.
- Leading improvements to performance, scalability, and operational reliability.
- Driving security best practices across infrastructure and deployments.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to define standards and promote DevOps culture.
- Documenting systems and processes to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.
Electrify us with your skills:
We think this role would be great for somebody who has proven experience in a similar role (ideally a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or SRE).
We are specifically looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and its core services, some experience with GCPwould be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles, including observability, incident management, and capacity planning.
- Strong focus on automation, tooling, and reducing manual operations.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid grasp of security best practices in cloud-native environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration and documentation habits.
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
Further to the above, if you have any experience with the following, do shout about it on your CV, as whilst not a requirement, it would certainly be a bonus if you had:
- Experience with other cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational database technologies.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, especially ISO 27001.
