Our platform engineers use their expertise in building and maintaining infrastructure and tooling to enable our developers to create innovative products and services that are fast and reliable. They work closely with developers to build platform solutions that support safe and secure delivery. Our goal is to empower our product engineering teams to own the services they build.

Our Tech

• Infrastructure: Hosted in AWS, defined as code using tools like Terraform and CDK
• Containerization: Applications run using a fully managed serverless approach with ECS & Fargate
• Provisioning: Using AWS Control Tower to enable account provisioning and building paved roads for quick, consistent deployment
• Event-Driven: Data sharing through an event-driven system powered by MSK
• Observability: Datadog for logging and monitoring
• Databases: MongoDB and AWS Relational Databases
• Automation and CICD: Automated deployments via Jenkins pipelines and Github Actions, enabling multiple releases daily

Within 1 month, you'll:

• Meet your teams, peers, and key stakeholders, and start building relationships.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand our technology landscape.
• Learn about our systems, tooling, and wider operations.
• Contribute to delivering new services and features.
• Understand how MONY Group operates, our principles, history, and future direction.
• Complete onboarding, training, and familiarization activities.

Longer term, you'll:

• Engage in all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from design to maintenance.
• Lead feature and functionality delivery.
• Facilitate team collaboration to solve complex problems.
• Contribute to the technical strategy.
• Promote best practices, including pair and mob programming.
• Prioritize security in development initiatives.
• Participate in incident management and on-call duties.
• Manage operational requirements like technical debt and documentation.
• Identify and drive improvements for the platform and engineering teams.
• Work with your Engineering Manager to grow and develop your career.
