Business Unit: Technology Operations & Cyber Security - Core IAAS
Salary: £40,800 - £59,000 - per annum DOE + benefits
Location: Near Clydebank/Hillington, with on-call requirements
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

Our Data Centre team, part of the Core IAAS function, manages Storage, Mainframe, and Networks across Clydebank and Hillington sites. The role involves building, supporting, and maintaining our data centre infrastructure, supporting incident response, and collaborating with technical teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage hardware setup and decommissioning in data centres.
2. Transfer equipment between sites.
3. Investigate hardware issues with internal teams.
4. Support network cabling and switches.
5. Manage server power supplies and maintain inventory.
6. Control user access and support governance activities.
7. Collaborate on projects to meet operational and strategic needs.
8. Identify risks and resolve issues promptly, maintaining excellent customer service.
9. Drive improvements through innovation and automation.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing data centres.
• Knowledge of data hall design, environmental controls, and future planning.
• Experience with server hardware and network cabling (Ethernet, Fibre).
• Understanding of low voltage power supplies.
