United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior CFD Engineer – Plasma Specialist to advance AI-driven, high-fidelity plasma simulations for semiconductor manufacturing. You will lead modelling efforts, collaborate with customers on-site, and drive decisions with validated plasma models.

The role emphasizes deep plasma physics knowledge, offshore collaboration with data scientists, and travel to customer sites. Hybrid work in London is available with strong mentoring and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in plasma physics or related field.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong experience with plasma etching, deposition, and surface processing.

Responsibilities

• Build and own computational plasma models for semiconductor processes (etching, CVD/ALD deposition, ion-surface interactions).
• Work on-site with semiconductor customers to scope challenges, design modelling strategies, and present results for process decisions.
• Select and apply appropriate simulation tools and fidelity levels, validating outputs against data.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to integrate simulations into AI-powered workflows.
• Operate independently on highly specialised problems and mentor junior colleagues.
• Travel globally (3–4 weeks per quarter) to work with customers on-site.
