Job summary

Space Forge Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Microwave Plasma Technologist to join the Semiconductor team. The role is full-time, hybrid with occasional travel to Swansea, based in Cardiff.

You will design, model, and test microwave plasma systems for advanced materials manufacturing, collaborating with engineers and designers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in plasma physics, electromagnetics, and microwave systems, with experience in numerical modelling (e.g., COMSOL) and RF design.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in plasma physics or related field.
• Experience with microwave plasma generation or industrial microwave systems is preferred.
• Hands-on experimental setup and diagnostics capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise microwave plasma systems.
• Model and simulate plasma behaviour under microwave excitation.
• Design and test experimental setups for plasma systems.
• Analyze performance data and support IP submissions.
