Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is seeking a Senior Plant Performance Engineer to lead a sub-team delivering transient analyses across our SMR design. You will drive insights to inform system design, substantiation and optimisation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Hybrid role with sites Derby, Manchester or Warrington. We value Chartered engineers and experience in nuclear or safety-critical industries, with strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, thermal processes and analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
• Experience in nuclear or safety-critical industries is desirable.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics and thermal processes.
• Proven ability to develop and apply analysis methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sub-team delivering transient analyses for SMR design.
• Provide timely insights to inform design decisions and substantiation.
• Coordinate analysis activities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicate analytical outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support development and continuous improvement of analysis methods.
