Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Officer for a 6-month contract in Staffordshire. The role offers £40-£50 per hour and requires strong Development Management experience with Heritage and listed buildings expertise.

The ideal candidate will manage planning backlogs, provide guidance on Planning Committee matters, and contribute to appeal processes. Onsite presence is expected, with potential site visits.

• Manage and clear planning backlogs for development projects.
• Represent and support Planning Committee processes.
• Provide expertise on heritage and listed buildings in planning decisions.
• Handle appeals and document outcomes; clarify levels/types of appeals handled.
