Your new role
We are recruiting a Senior Planning Officer to work on a diverse caseload, including minors and strategic projects. You will assess planning applications, interpret development plans, prepare reports, and provide expert advice. Your responsibilities include handling appeals, drafting decision notices, and contributing to planning policies and strategies. You will advise stakeholders, handle applications, and support community-focused planning initiatives. Collaboration, growth, and excellence are core values of our team.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a degree accredited by RTPI or RICS in Town and Country Planning or equivalent. Experience in Development Management, assessing planning applications in residential and commercial areas, is essential. You must be confident in writing appeal statements, providing practical advice, and explaining complex planning issues to stakeholders. A passion for creating sustainable and vibrant spaces benefiting the community is important.
