Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior or Principal Planning Officer to join a local authority in the North West on a 6-month contract. The role sits in Development Management and will manage a varied caseload from complex minors to majors while mentoring junior staff. Office presence 1–2 days per week is expected.

The position offers an immediate start and a competitive hourly rate of £45-£50, dependent on experience.

Carrington West are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior or Principal Planning Officer to join a local authority in the North West on a 6-month contract. This role sits within the Development Management team and will involve handling a varied case load of planning applications, from complex minors to majors . This will be alongside helping other more junior staff in the authority, acting as a point of referral where necessary.

They would ideally like the successful candidate to work closely with the team ,and be in the office 1-2 times a week.
