A Local Authority in North London is seeking an experienced Town Planning Officer to assess planning applications and provide advice to developers. The role involves representation at hearings and negotiations under the Town and Country Planning Act. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in a Local Authority planning environment. The position is for a minimum of 6 months with a pay rate starting at £40.59/hr (umbrella).

• Represent the Council at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.
• Liaise with agents, applicants, and the public regularly.
• Provide informed, accurate pre-application advice.
• Negotiate planning obligations under S.106.

• Liaise with agents, applicants and the public on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide informed, accurate pre-application advice to prospective developers.
• Negotiate planning obligations under S.106 of the Town and Country Planning Act.
