Job summary

A leading construction and consultancy firm is seeking a client-side planning lead for a significant infrastructure project in Immingham. The ideal candidate has onsite infrastructure experience and knowledge of construction delivery. Responsibilities include ensuring safety standards, managing project delivery, and supporting senior management in negotiations. This role offers opportunities for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

The Project: A technically challenging nationally significant infrastructure project (NSIP) comprising of both landside development and marine Ro-Ro jetty is moving into delivery. We are looking for a client-side planning lead with a strong construction delivery background. The project is in Immingham and there will be a requirement to spend time on site weekly.

Please Note - This role will require BPSS Security clearance and 2-3 days travel per month on site in Immingham.

You’ll need to have:

  • Onsite infrastructure construction delivery experience.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle P6.
  • Working knowledge of XER Toolkit.
  • Experience using Last Planner techniques.

You’ll also have:

  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
