Senior Planning Engineer – Nuclear Infrastructure & Projects

Job summary

KBR in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning, scheduling and reporting for a major nuclear project portfolio at Sellafield. You will develop baselines, manage schedules and provide critical EV reporting to project managers, sponsors and risk teams.

The role requires advanced Primavera P6 and Excel skills, strong English communication, and proven leadership in planning across multi-disciplinary plant activities. On-site UK work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive planning, scheduling and coordination in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Advance P6 skills and advanced Excel skills.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Good planning and coordination across multi-discipline activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage the planning framework, systems and resources to deliver an effective planning and reporting service to Project Managers and Sponsors.
• Facilitate the production of the project WBS.
• Prepare, monitor and forecast baseline and working schedules during all project phases.
• Establish and maintain a Basis of Schedule for all schedules produced.
• Ensure all applicable schedule activities have Rules of Credit and Quantity Tracking mechanisms established.
• Identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and underpinning change control.
• Prepare progress reports including earned value analysis and recovery options.
• Maintain the planning database and validate data across systems.
• Provide the required information to support the risk process.
• Provide project outturns against baseline.
• Supervises Planning Engineers and Assistant Planning Engineers and mentors their development.
