Job summary

Gold Group in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a growing project consultancy. You will develop and manage detailed programmes across construction and infrastructure, working closely with clients to shape delivery.

In a hybrid Cardiff setup, you will provide strategic planning support, monitor progress, identify risks, and report to stakeholders. The role offers £70-90k plus package and a clear path for professional development.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK construction industry experience.
• Background gained within a main contracting environment.
• Proven experience working as a Planner or Senior Planner on complex projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a client-facing consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes.
• Provide planning support and strategic advice to clients and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and produce programme updates and reports.
• Identify programme risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams across sectors.
• Attend client and project meetings, providing clear planning insight and guidance.
• Support the successful delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion.
