Job description

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced planning engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis in Warrington.

Your purpose: To drive the overall integrated P6 programme, liaise with Project Managers to maintain programme schedules and provide hierarchical performance reporting, correlate schedule, cost and risk assessments to inform decision-making and lead on "what-if" scenario planning, provide detailed analysis of contractors' programmes, lead on integrating scheduling across all projects within your remit, support the Project Controls Manager and lead on contractor requirements, working with delivery and procurement teams, collaborate with project delivery teams, specialist client directorates and external stakeholders, and proactively drive continuous improvement and provide specialist advice.

What you can bring:
  • A track record of achievement in planning within large-scale defence or nuclear projects
  • Experience in leading teams of professionals in a complex business environment
  • Construction project planning expertise gained across a range of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with a sound understanding of project management principles and applications
  • An understanding of commercial elements within large, complex projects and a track record of achievement in driving value
  • A good understanding of programme contractual requirements, including NEC clauses
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A recognised degree or similar professional qualification
