Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture is seeking a Planning professional to assist the Planning Manager in developing and monitoring the programme to meet HS2 requirements and SCS planning standards. You will help align the WBS, CBS and data dictionaries, ensuring timely access dates and milestones.

You will work with BIM and design teams to integrate the construction programme with the BIM model, monitor progress, and implement mitigation measures for risks.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or an appropriate professional qualification.
• Prior experience in planning function in civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of the development and implementation of asset structures, planning standards, WBS and planning processes.
• Competence in Primavera P6 and Tilos.
• Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Planning Manager in developing the programme structure, WBS, calendars and dates.
• Help develop cost and resource loaded programmes during ECI Stage One and Two.
• Ensure programme meets required access dates and milestones per planning requirements.
• Contribute to assessment of programme risks and mitigation measures.
• Interface with BIM, design, estimation and construction teams for planning data.
• Work with BIM team to integrate construction programme and BIM model.
• Progress monitoring and updating of the programme, forecasting risk areas and mitigation.
• Cooperate with Project Controls Manager, Reporting Manager and Change Management.
• Liaise with client’s planning team and stakeholders to share best practices and drive improvement.
• Pursue continuous improvement of planning approaches and standard processes.
• Assess change and PMI impacts as required.
• Assess supply chain programmes for inclusion in main programme.
• Maintain short and medium term programmes to meet main objectives.
