Description and Requirements

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Newark On Trent.

What you'll do:
  1. Work with the delivery team to develop a comprehensive construction phase programme for the project, including general civils and highways-specific works.
  2. Assist in maintaining and updating the project programme, performance indicators, and progress records. Interpret the output of the updated programme, then work with the project team to identify and implement solutions, drive efficiencies, eliminate waste, and address reasons for delay.
  3. Facilitate collaborative planning and short-term programmes, and prepare programme submission documents.
  4. Engage with suppliers to ensure they are working in line with our planning requirements.
  5. Work with the project team and suppliers to produce and maintain collaborative look-ahead programmes that align with the main programme.
What you'll bring to the role:
  1. Highways construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and best practices, gained while working in a delivery role for a Civils contractor.
  2. Understanding of NEC and Highways Specification.
  3. Experience in delivering the contractor programme during the construction phase of a project.
