The role

As aSenior Planning Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of some of the UK’s most critical nuclear projects. You’ll play a vital role in shaping and maintaining robust project schedules that drive delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle. This is your opportunity to make a real impact—on national infrastructure, on your career, and on the future of clean energy and defence.

This is afull-time, permanentposition working37 hours per weekon ahybrid basis, with flexibility to work from home and on-site at Warrington (Cheshire) or Bristol.

Day-to-day, you’ll

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules from initiation through to completion
  • Track progress, identify deviations, and propose recovery actions
  • Support Project Managers to ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget
  • Manage schedule changes in line with NEC4 commercial requirements
  • Produce clear, concise reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders

Essential experience of the Senior Planning Engineer:

  • Proven experience in planning within engineering, nuclear, or other highly regulated sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience delivering high-value, complex projects across the full lifecycle
  • Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and commercial scheduling
  • Ability to produce monthly programme updates for customers

Qualifications for the Senior Planning Engineer:

  • Professional certifications in planning or project controls would be advantageous
