We're Hiring: Principal Planning Engineer

? Manchester | Contract | 40 hours/week

Are you ready to lead planning on major projects from day one? We’re looking for a Principal Planning Engineer to drive accurate scheduling, stakeholder collaboration, and forward-thinking project control across a growing portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a forward-thinking team. You’ll be central to project delivery — and as we scale up, you’ll help grow the Planning function too.

? What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning and delivering robust project schedules from inception through construction.
  • Managing schedule risks, change, and earned value metrics.
  • Supporting the Project Controls Manager in leading the Planning team.
  • Recruiting and developing planning talent as project demands grow.
  • Driving high standards of communication, analysis, and delivery.

? What You Bring

  • Experience across the full project lifecycle (engineering, construction, handover).
  • Strong commercial awareness and schedule control expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and planning tools.
  • Desirable: experience in regulated industries and membership in ACostE or APM.
