Job summary

First Recruitment Group are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to support offshore wind projects, based in Kingston upon Thames with a hybrid pattern: 3 days in-office, 2 days from home. You will develop project schedules for tenders, maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules, and contribute to risk analysis and change management with Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years in planning within offshore oil & gas or wind, and hold an HNC/HND or Bachelor's

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in planning activities within offshore industries, preferably offshore wind.
• Experience with tender planning and bid schedules.
• Knowledge of schedule risk analysis and change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Project Schedule for tenders and projects according to contract requirements.
• Create and maintain 90 days look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules.
• Support planning manager and contribute to project status reporting.
• Assist with time impact analysis during contract amendments/claims.
• Promote schedule awareness among project teams and stakeholders.

Job description

Kingston upon Thames, Surrey - 3 days per week in office, 2 days per week from home

A Senior Planning Engineer is required to support on mainly Offshore Wind projects working on behalf of a large offshore installation contractor.

As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will have a strong knowledge of offshore related projects and ideally have exposure to bids/ tenders.

As Planning Engineer you will respond to the Planning Manager and be part of the Offshore Wind business Line. You will ensure the development of the Project Schedule, especially for tenders.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
• As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will implement the Planning and Progress Control System
• Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed
• Create a schedule awareness atmosphere amongst all project participants
• As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule
• Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
• Support the Project during contract amendments/claims and provide the time impact analysis
• As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will participate in risk management activities including schedule risk analysis

What are we looking for?

Experience

5-10 years in planning activities within the offshore Oil & Gas industry, preferably in offshore wind business

Education

HNC, HND or bachelor's degree

Technical skills

As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will have planning experience for tendering projects phases, T&I, possibly EPCI projects

IT skills

Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
