Job summary

Tech Search Solutions in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer for a permanent role with a national civils contractor. You will support major civils and infrastructure projects from the Ipswich head office, with a strong emphasis on on-site delivery.

Candidates should bring hands-on site experience from construction delivery, with progression from Sub Agent/Site Agent/PM to planning. You will work with operations, engineering and commercial teams to produce buildable programmes.

Qualifications

Senior Planning Engineer - Permanent

National Civils Contractor

We're looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a national civil engineering contractor, based from their Head Office in Ipswich and supporting a variety of major civils and infrastructure projects.

The key thing with this role is site experience.

We're not looking for someone who has spent their whole career purely in planning. You need to have come from a construction delivery background and understand how civil engineering projects are actually built on site.

Ideally, you'll have previously worked as a Sub Agent, Site Agent, Project Manager, Site Manager or similar, before moving into planning.

What we're looking for:

• Strong civil engineering / infrastructure background
• Previous hands-on site delivery experience is essential
• Background as a Sub Agent, Site Agent, PM, Site Manager or similar
• Now operating at Senior Planner / Senior Planning Engineer level
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
