Overview

Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Warrington (3 days on-site per week)
Salary: £55,300 - £70,700 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Eligibility: British or dual nationals only (BPSS clearance required)

We're supporting a major player in the nuclear sector with the appointment of a Senior Planning Engineer to join their project delivery team in Warrington.

The Role

You'll provide full lifecycle planning support across complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programmes. Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, baselining, and maintaining integrated project schedules
  • Providing regular updates, performance metrics, and critical path analysis
  • Supporting earned value management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis
  • Aligning planning data with cost/resource management systems
  • Interfacing with project, commercial, and engineering teams to ensure alignment
  • Producing reports for senior stakeholders and ensuring planning best practices
What You\'ll Need
  • Proven experience in project planning within a regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure)
  • Expertise in Primavera P6
  • Degree in engineering, project management, or construction management (or related discipline)
  • Professional qualification preferred (e.g., APM, Acoste, RICS)
  • Experience with resource/cost loading, stakeholder engagement, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies and schedule risk management
  • BPSS clearance is mandatory; applicants must be British or dual nationals
