Senior Planner (Supply Chain)

Cardiff

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum + pension and more.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Refine systems and methods to continually improve production scheduling for optimal factory efficiency.
  • Work proactively with Demand and Supply teams to ensure alignment with the MPS signal and communicate deviations.
  • Liaise with Supply Planning regarding constraints impacting MPS.
  • Deputise for the Production Scheduling Manager during absences.
  • Support day-to-day activities alongside the Production Scheduling Manager.
  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the demand team to resolve low stock issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions.
  • React to changes in customer priorities as needed.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams for seamless operations.
  • Adjust schedules to address production issues or delays.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Good knowledge of supply chain environments
  • Experience in production planning
  • Key User in M3
  • IT skills, including Excel and MRP systems (e.g., Optimity)
  • Attention to detail and high standards
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to change
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
