Senior Planner (Supply Chain) - Cardiff

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum + pension and additional benefits.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Refine systems and methods to continually improve production scheduling, ensuring the most efficient plans are issued to the factory.
  • Proactively work alongside Demand and Supply teams to ensure alignment with the MPS signal and communicate any deviations from the plan.
  • Liaise with Supply Planning on constraints that may impact the MPS.
  • Deputise for the Production Scheduling Manager during periods of absence or holidays.
  • Support day-to-day activities in collaboration with the Production Scheduling Manager.
  • Monitor potential "low life" stock and work with the demand team to resolve issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions in the short-term horizon.
  • Review and react to changes in customer priorities as required.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules to address issues or delays.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Good knowledge of a supply chain environment.
  • Experience of production planning.
  • Key user in M3 IT systems (e.g., Excel, MRP systems such as Optimity).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to forward plan.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to change.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
