Job Description:

This role is for a Senior Planner / Planning Manager level candidate with experience working on major civil engineering projects within the rail, highways, or airports markets. The initial contract duration is 12 months, based in Stansted.

The role involves working on an infrastructure upgrade programme using the NEC form of contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, develop PBS, WBS, SOW, and BOE.
• Generate, maintain, and update project schedules in line with planning cycles.
• Identify schedule impacts and pursue solutions within quality, cost, and time boundaries.
• Conduct live progress updates to gather accurate project status.
• Produce monthly reports on milestones, critical path, resource demand, and availability.
• Analyze schedule variances and report deviations, including exception reports.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Understanding of project management in complex environments using an IMS.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, especially Primavera P6.
• Willingness to learn or familiarity with EVM.
• Ability to deliver accurate work within reporting cycles and prioritize deadlines.
• Contractor experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
