Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Planner to join a major infrastructure planning team in London. You will lead programme development, coordinate with stakeholders and keep projects on track with data-driven updates.

Bring 5+ years in civil engineering planning, expert in 4D modelling, and the ability to identify risks, mitigate actions and drive continuous improvement across large-scale programmes in London and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience on large-scale Civil Engineering projects.
• Strong programme planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Experience in water/wastewater sector is a plus.
• Knowledge of digital construction planning and 4D modelling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative digital planning and programme review meetings.
• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes.
• Liaise with delivery teams to ensure planning consistency.
• Identify opportunities and risks with mitigation strategies.
• Produce 4D construction sequencing and visualisations.
• Gather progress data and assess milestone impacts.
• Communicate critical paths and milestones to teams.
• Attend project sites to gather updates.
• Maintain planning standards and processes.
• Ensure programme integrity throughout the lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement and best practice.
• Align programme performance with cost forecasting.
