Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is engaged on the Leighton Hospital project in Crewe as part of the Government’s New Hospital Programme. This expression of interest invites experienced Planners to join at the early stage of a landmark healthcare scheme.

You will contribute to robust scheduling, reporting and stakeholder engagement across an £800 million+ programme, with opportunities to shape planning practices and digital planning tools within a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of construction planning methods.
• Experience on large, complex multi-million-pound projects.
• Ability to develop and mentor less-experienced planners.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Powerproject.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage all programmes and production control deliverables across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare phasing diagrams, logistics plans, S-curves, resource histograms, and plant schedules.
• Implement robust controls, including forecasting, early warning systems, and KPIs.
• Communicate the planning roadmap and performance measures to project teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
• Challenge and validate project plans to ensure compliance with targets and standards.
• Contribute to pre-contract planning and bid submissions.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards and company management systems.
• Drive planning innovations, including 4D integration and digital tools.
