Are you a driven and experienced Senior Town Planner looking to make your mark with a respected consultancy? I’m working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy in Chester who are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Senior Planner.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking company with a strong pipeline of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects across the North West and beyond.

The Role:

As a Senior Planner, you’ll be a key figure in delivering projects from initial feasibility through to application and appeal. You’ll manage client relationships, lead on planning applications, and work collaboratively with local authorities and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting a range of planning applications
  • Leading client meetings and providing sound planning advice
  • Mentoring junior team members
  • Attending committee meetings and appeals
  • Supporting Directors with business development
  • What They’re Looking For:

  • RTPI-accredited degree and MRTPI status (or working towards)
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in town planning (consultancy or LPA background welcome)
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and project management skills
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
