Senior Planner – Reading – Staff Position

We’re supporting a leading engineering solutions provider that’s become a trusted delivery partner across the UK’s nuclear and defence sectors. With a legacy spanning over four decades, they’ve built a reputation for precision, quality, and technical excellence—especially in highly regulated environments.

As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to bring a Senior Planner into their team in Reading. This is a permanent, staff-only role with excellent long-term prospects.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading planning activities using Primavera P6 – this is central to the role

Managing Compensation Events (CEs) and supporting project controls processes

Building schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates in collaboration with Project Managers

Providing real-time progress and performance data to keep delivery on track

Producing EVM reports and ensuring alignment with project scope and budget

Liaising closely with clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams

What you’ll need:

Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6

Solid understanding of Compensation Events (CEs) and project planning principles

Eligibility for DV Clearance (Sole British passport, UK residency of 5+ years)

HNC or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline

A proven track record in planning within engineering or construction environments
