Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Planner to own and control detailed project schedules for complex client programmes. The role is home-based with regular travel to client sites across the UK, requiring independent working and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will use Primavera P6 daily, manage baselines, resource and cost loading, and present planning information to support decision-making. A consultancy background and willingness to travel are essential.

Senior Project Planner

£60,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits

Home-based with travel to UK client sites

Join a specialist project consultancy in a senior planning role where you will take ownership of schedules within complex client programmes.

You will work from home when not required on site. The role will involve regular travel to client locations so you will need to be comfortable working independently, building trusted client relationships and adapting to different delivery environments.

What we are looking for

• Extensive project planning and scheduling experience
• Clear experience owning and maintaining project schedules
• Practical experience using Primavera P6
• Experience of baselining, resource loading and cost loading
• A good understanding of schedule dependencies, milestones and critical path analysis
• The confidence to work directly with clients in a consultancy environment
• A relevant qualification such as APM Fundamentals, MRICS or P6 Practitioner would be desirable
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required
• Sole British nationality

You do not need to be a highly technical P6 specialist. You must understand how to use the tool and be able to show practical experience applying it within a planning role.

Salary and benefits

• Salary of £60,000 to £75,000 with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
• Bonus of up to 10%
